I'm Donna Dawe
As the thinker and mastermind behind Dawesign, I thrive on every step of the design process—from concept to completion and all the messy parts in between. My greatest joy is seeing a client’s vision come to life before their eyes. With years of industry experience in various roles, I bring insights that go beyond design, helping clients with everything from choosing a brick-and-mortar location to launching full-scale marketing campaigns. I have a keen eye for the details others might miss, ensuring not only beautiful designs but also a smoother business flow. For me, crafting the whole package is where the real excitement lies.

Good To Know
I’ve loved advertising since childhood—while other kids ignored commercials, I ran out of my room to watch my favourites! That passion turned into a career where creativity and strategy collide.
Experience
Though I’ve spent most of my career as a solo entrepreneur, my 10+ years in Pre-Press gave me a rock-solid foundation in industry tech, far beyond just printing. That knowledge still shapes my work today.
Education
I studied Graphic Design & Animation at an independent technical school, took extra courses at Red River Community College (now RRC Polytech), and continuously level up with online classes in coding, marketing, and all things geeky design.

I'm Deryk Dawe
Donna calls me, “The Artist” of the operation. I have a passion for graphic novel illustration. With a pencil in my hand and your vision in mind the Dawesign magic just flows. The majority of my creative career has been spent perfecting my skills as a digital photo manipulator but my design experience doesn’t end there. I’ve has collaborated on projects from gaming illustrations to high end photo books. Having me on your team adds that detail-oriented artistic touch.
Drawing Is My Passion
Good To Know
I’m a lifelong comic book enthusiast—if I’m not reading them, I’m watching movies or listening to podcasts about them. Growing up, I was rarely without a sketchbook, dreaming of a career in comics. While that’s a tough industry to break into, I’ve happily channeled my talent into commissioned work, from tattoo designs to intricate logos (with plenty of doodling on the side).
Experience
Donna and I met while working in Pre-Press at Embassy Graphics, where I was a photo manipulator—because, surprise, those images don’t come out of cameras looking perfect! With over 20 years of Photoshop experience, I’ve developed a sharp eye for detail, which comes through in my illustration and design work today.
Education
I studied Advertising Art at Red River Community College and continue to expand my skills through online training. I’m also the resident “tax guy” for Dawesign—because every great creative team needs someone to crunch the numbers!
